A graduate of the University of British Columbia Faculty of Law in 1985, Lina was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 1986. A change in direction called Lina back to her native British Columbia in 1986 where she re-articled with Harris & Brun. She was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1988.
