Collins
Personal Law Corporation
Peter was called to the British
Columbia Bar in 1978. After practicing in the early 1980's with
Block Brothers Industries and later Boughton and Company, he moved
to the Insurance Corporation of British
Columbia where he practised as defence counsel from 1986
to 1999.
While with ICBC, Peter developed a particular practice niche in
personal injury law in the effects
of injury superimposed on systemic processes and diseases (such
as fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, thoracic outlet syndrome, and
complex regional pain syndrome). He prepared a book on causation
in fibromyalgia and chronic pain when he was with ICBC, which was
published in February of 2000. This book has been widely circulated
among claims staff and lawyers alike.
Peter
came to Harris
& Brun in 1999. Since that time, he has developed a province-wide
reputation with his knowledge of systemic and medical issues. His
technical command of medical issues makes him a much sought-after
cross-examiner of medical experts.
