Robert
Brun, Q.C.
Personal Law Corporation
Robert has a special interest in personal
injury and workers' compensation
law. He is also experienced in the fields of employment,
insurance and estate
law.
He graduated from the University of
British Columbia Faculty of
Law in 1977 and was called to the British
Columbia Bar in 1978.
Before joining Harris & Brun as a founding member in 1984,
Robert practiced for five years with the Workers'
Compensation Board of British Columbia.
Robert
is one of Canada's most knowledgeable and experienced practitioners
in the field of workers' compensation as it relates to auto-accident
injuries. Along with Lyle Harris, since
1986 he has instructed Insurance
Corporation of British Columbia adjusters as part of the Insurance
Corporation of British Columbia's adjuster training program.
Robert is a skilled trial lawyer who has conducted many cases in
The Supreme
Court of British Columbia, Court
of Appeal, and Supreme Court
of Canada. He was an instructor in law at the Open College from
1982 to1989. Robert is frequently a guest speaker at seminars put
on by Continuing
Legal Education and The Trial
Lawyers Association of British Columbia.
Along
with Lyle Harris, Robert was an instructor
in the field of insurance law at Capilano
College in the Paralegal
Program from 1994 to 1997.
In 1997, Robert became an elected member of the provincial council
of the Canadian Bar Association,
Vice President of the British
Columbia Branch 2002/2003 and then President in 2003. He was
elected as a Bencher of the Law Society in 2004.
