Bio:

Called to the British Columbia Bar in 1988, Lina’s practice is focused on personal injury, including motor vehicle, slip and fall and other accidental injuries. She has also successfully assisted clients with claims for long term disability benefits and with subrogation claims. Lina represents both plaintiffs and defendants. Her clients find her primarily through word of mouth and personal referrals by former clients and she has built a full and rewarding practice as a result. Lina has worked for various insurance companies within British Columbia and in the United States, and enjoys dealing with the jurisdictional and conflict of law issues that arise with out-of-province parties. Lina has conducted many trials in the Supreme Court of British Columbia, both with and without juries, and has frequently appeared before the British Columbia Court of Appeal.

Lectures / Publications / Seminars:

Lina has given presentations to parent groups and student groups on motor vehicle insurance coverage and liability issues. She has also given presentations to legal assistants on the interplay of the Workers’ Compensation Act, the Insurance (Vehicle) Act and tort claims.
