Phased Reopening with WorkSafeBC COVID-19 Safety Plan in Place

Harris & Brun

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and as part of our business continuity plan, HBLC transitioned to working remotely in early March. While it was a significant shift, our firm was prepared with digital technology and we were able to provide excellent client service with complete continuity of our practice. Virtual platforms enabled us to stay connected in a way that supported our “Care and Commitment” promise, while focusing on the health and safety of our firm members, our families, and our clients.

During the past few months, we have limited access to our premises for only critical operations and essential matters. Access continues to be limited for the time being and we are gradually phasing in an increased in-person workforce while continuing to limit in-person access for clients. Preparations include taking a careful, phased approach to easing restrictions and reopening our premises, while ensuring that all government and public health orders and guidelines are followed. Our WorkSafeBC COVID-19 Safety Plan details the measures we have implemented to keep everyone safe and healthy.

While we are excited to serve our clients in person again, our enthusiasm is tempered by the important restrictions we now face as a result of this pandemic. We will continue forward with caution, to ensure the health and safety of our firm members and our valued clients. Rest assured, the quality of our legal services has only increased as a result of the challenges facing society. As the proverb says, “necessity is the mother of invention.” We have made durable improvements to our legal services that will facilitate more efficient and cost-effective access for our clients.

“Care and Commitment” has been our motto since 1984. We care for our clients and we are committed to fight for the successful resolution of their legal disputes, whatever the circumstances may be. We are here to help you navigate through these tumultuous times and we thank you for your continued loyalty.
